The site of the Battle of Badr is one of the most important destinations that visitors to the city of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, are keen to visit to commemorate the victory of the Muslims in the first historical and decisive battle in Islam, which is the great Battle of Badr that took place in the second year of the Hijrah. The site contains the cemetery of the martyrs of Badr, which includes the tombs of the honorable companions of the martyrs of the battle, and highlights the areas of “Al-Adwa Al-Dunya”, which is the place of arrival of Muslims from Madinah, and “Al-Adwa Al-Aqsa”, which is the place of arrival of the polytheists from Mecca, which were mentioned in the Holy Quran. The site is also adjacent to the Mount of Angels, which is the place where the angels descended to help the Muslim army in this battle.
Al-Rayis Beach overlooks the Red Sea directly, and it is considered one of the attractive destinations in the Kingdom, as it is distinguished by its charming nature and its historical status, as it embraces ancient ruins that testify to a civilization that was established on the ancient port of Al-Jar, and some protected islands within the Red Sea. It is also home to rare migratory birds, and diving enthusiasts are particularly interested in it, due to the splendor of the coral reefs and marine fishes living near this beach.
